Top 3 are finished with Tru-Oil, bottom 1 with Spar Varnish. I have just finished putting scroll carving on it. I had problems with the Spar Varnish finish wanting to pull away from the stock during carving. I never had that problem with Tru-Oil. I have always been a fan of the old Weatherbys and Winslows, does it show?

Some of these were works in progress when I purchased Riflestock Bible, I found it useful in obtaining a dynamite high gloss finish with the Tru-Oil.
